The Bazaruto Archipelago consists of five main islands:

Bazaruto Island – the largest and most well-known

Benguerra Island – famous for luxury lodges and pristine beaches

Magaruque Island – great for snorkeling and quiet getaways

Santa Carolina (Paradise Island) – known for its abandoned hotel and coral reefs

Bangue Island – the smallest, often visited on day trips There are also several smaller sandbanks and islets scattered around the area, but those are the five main ones.

What we did: Swam in the turquoise Indian Ocean

Snorkeled among tropical fish and coral

Enjoyed fresh seafood and island cuisine

Hiked massive sand dunes with epic views.
