When it comes to the Fijian Islands, it is hard to describe the beauty of the place in words. Picture postcard perfect, Fiji combines the purest white sandy beaches with crystalline turquoise waters, great snorkelling, friendly locals, delicious seafood, and ice-cold cocktails, and when you combine those ‘perks’ together; you come up one of the most wonderful holiday destinations in the world.
The location of choice for many movie directors, the Mamanuca island of Monuriki is where the film Castaway was made with Tom Hanks, and while the island is certainly a lot smaller in real life, you cannot help wondering around the pristine beach while shouting for the elusive Wilson!
Fiji really is as beautiful as you imagine, and whether you decide to hideaway for a week or two on one of the more remote islands, or base yourself in Nadi as we did, you will not be disappointed in what Fiji has to offer, and if you need more proof, just take a look at our pictures…!

Love these photos! Did you travel with South Sea Cruises? How was the Seaspray sailing?
Thanks – great memories of Fiji. We highly recommend Seaspray – fantastic trips, great boats and friendly crew…!
