This ever-changing April weather makes me think of one thing, and one thing only, and that is going somewhere warmer and sunnier this summer! Rain has become part of everyday life and while I can appreciate its good for the plants and the countryside, it’s not ideal for those of us who are itching to get the motorbike out of the garage after its winter hibernation!
The phrases “patience is a virtue” and “you cannot change the weather” are ringing around my mind, and so to lift my spirits on this overcast day, I would like to share my top 10 Beaches to swim, sunbathe, and sink a Margarita this summer!

The gorgeous Playa del Carmen beach in Mexico is a wonderful place to sip your margarita, while munching on nachos and listening to the soothing sounds of a mariachi band!

A short boat ride from Fremantle, Western Australia, Rottnest Island is the perfect place to spend the afternoon. The secluded white sandy beaches do not have bars, so don’t forget to take a chilled bottle of wine and two glasses!

If it is good enough for Mr. DiCaprio, it is certainly good enough for us! The Beach was filmed on Phi Phi Island, and while it is now a busy tourist destination, it is well worth a visit.

Caipirinha’s, soft waves, and the gentle sounds of the Samba – Brazil has it all and there is perhaps no better place on earth to relax and unwind.

Frequently topping the “world’s best beach list”, Anguilla is picture-postcard perfect, and if you head to Maya’s bar you can taste the most delicious tropical cocktails while admiring the paradise that surrounds you.

It’s busy, its bustling and it is bursting with beautiful people, but if you are looking for action this summer, you will find everything you could possibly wish for on Bondi Beach!

The water may be too cold to dip your toes in, but that does not take anything away from the stunning beach of Camps Bay. A wonderful location to watch the sunset while enjoying a crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Stellenbosch!

The Dominican Republic is a popular Caribbean getaway and a great place to relax, swim, and enjoy the beautiful views.

Well it’s Fiji – what would you expect! Gorgeous sand, crystal clear water and endless sunshine – paradise on earth!

If you are one of those people who love beaches but do not like getting sand between your toes, we think Doyle’s Restaurant in Watsons Bay is the perfect solution. Great food, great Australian wines and great views of Sydney – In fact, I couldn’t think of anywhere I would rather be right now – cheers!
Love Phi Phi, spent a fair bit of time in Thailand great place.
Thanks milezaway! Sure you have plenty of great pictures of Thailand!
