One of the things we enjoyed the most about travelling through Southeast Asia was the mouth-watering and delicious menus available on every street corner. From cheap and cheerful to Michelin starred treats, there is something for everyone in these beautiful lands, and if you are an adventurous eater, you are in for a treat!
While I like to call myself an adventurous eater, I will not eat animals that fall into the ‘pets’ category, and would not consider eating anything I believe to be cruel (shark-fin soup, live creatures etc) but when it comes to hot, spicy, weird and wonderful dishes, I am up for the challenge – and Asia didn’t disappoint.
Memories of Thai curry with fragrant coconut rice, aromatic Laksa with noodles and prawns, steamboat creations in Penang, and everything found in the food-courts of Singapore, are still vivid in my mind, and as it may be a while until I get to eat them again, I thought I would share some of our favourite shots to tickle your taste buds this Monday afternoon.
Mmmm, yummy!
