Next Stop… Namibia

Anyone who follows our blog will know that we have a bucket list of countries we want to visit as long as the Great Wall of China, but if there is one destination we are desperate to explore, it is the vast and beautiful land of Namibia.

With the magnificent red dunes of Sossusvlei, the desert plains of Damaraland, the Skeleton Coast and the game and predators of the Etosha National Park, Namibia really is ‘heaven on earth’ for nature and wildlife lovers like us. We have therefore decided that 2014 is going to be our year to explore, uncover and discover this African gem, and we cannot think of anyone better to do it with than Wilderness Safaris.

Safari specialists with over 30 years of experience in creating memorable trips to Africa, Wilderness Safaris have Namibia well covered, and best of all, they offer packages to suit every budget.

Our Namibia ‘to do’ list is (as always) quite long, but scenic drives, guided walks, early morning ballooning, horse riding, and quad-biking is a must, and since learning how to handle one of these four-wheeled mean machines on Walker Bay Beach in South Africa, I cannot wait to try my skills (or lack of them!) out on Sossusvlei dunes!

Camping under the sky, dining under the stars, tasting local delicacies and or course, going on safari is also on the list, so let’s hope there is enough time to do it all in between climbing Kilimanjaro and cycling the Cape Argus!

We would love to hear from anyone who has visited Namibia, so please drop us an email and let us know your tips and recommendations!
