Best Easter Holiday Destinations for 2015

It might not seem like 2 minutes since Christmas, but Easter is just around the corner, and if you are looking to book a romantic getaway, a chic city escapade or a family holiday somewhere warm and exotic, now is definitely the time to book your Easter break.

Top Easter Holiday Hotspots

Easter falls in the first week of April this year – a great time to head to the Southern Mediterranean where the temperatures are already starting to rise, or down below the equator where summer is coming to an end, but the temperatures are still good, and the holidays cost almost half the price.

When it comes to the Best Easter Holiday Destinations for 2015, the world really is your oyster!  The Pound GBP is exceptionally strong at the moment, especially in the Euro Zone, Southern Africa and Asia, so if you want more for your money, you might want to visit…

The Austrian Alps

Austria is a real ‘on trend’ holiday destination for 2015, and with the recent price hikes in Switzerland (they parted company with the Euro zone and prices went up 30% overnight), many travellers are crossing the border for a great value skiing holiday in the Austrian Alps.  The skiing season officially ends on the 11th April, so the Easter Weekend is the perfect time to visit!

Sicily or Sardinia, Italy

If you are looking for sunshine rather than snow this Easter, the Italian islands of Sicily and Sardinia are perfect for your Easter break. There are some great flight deals with budget airline Ryanair, and as it is still ‘low season’, you can get some bargain hotel prices too!  Weather-wise, there should be plenty of sunshine around at that time of year, with daily temperatures in the early 20s.

Cape Town, South Africa

If you have the time and money to travel long-haul over Easter, Cape Town is a fabulous place to take a city break.  With almost 18 Rand to the Pound, your spending money will go a whole lot further in South Africa than it will in the US, and as the summer season is about to come to an end, there are some excellent hotel deals to be had.

Koh Samui, Thailand

Finally, if you are after golden sandy beaches and hot and sweaty temperatures this Easter, you might want to pack your flip-flops and head to Thailand. With average daily temperatures of 30° degrees, it is the perfect Easter destination for those who are looking for sun, sand, and smiles!
