Trip of a Lifetime – What’s Yours?

on

If you could go anywhere in the world on a Trip of a Lifetime, where would you go and what would you do?  Popular choices include Trekking in the Himalayas, Snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, Sailing the Norwegian Fjords, and Sun Worshiping on the pristine beaches of Bora Bora, but there are so many wonderful destinations out there, I think I would struggle to choose just one!

Tailor Made Holidays Great Ocean Road AustraliaWhen you are lucky enough to organise dream holidays for people, you get to uncover some of the most beautiful places on planet earth, and if I were suggest a Trip of a Lifetime today, I would recommend one of our Top 5 Favourites…

The Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos Islands have been on my bucket list forever, and while they are more accessible than ever before (you can fly in from Quito or Guayaquil), I believe these volcanic islands still retain their natural charm, unique animal species, and jaw dropping scenery.  A trip of a lifetime for wildlife and nature lovers.

The Great Migration, Serengeti Tanzania

A World Heritage Site and one of the most magnificent National Parks in the world, the Serengeti is the perfect place for a safari holiday, and during the Great Migration, you can expect to see some 2,000,000 wildebeest and zebra making their way across the plains in what many refer to as the Circle of Life.

Self-Driving Namibia

There is nowhere on earth like Namibia.  A big claim to make, I know, but of all the countries we have visited in the world, this one stands out the most.  Unassuming and sparsely populated, Namibia is the perfect destination for a self-drive, off the beaten track holiday, and if you enjoy spectacular scenery, exceptional wildlife viewing, and ever-changing topography, this could be the perfect place for your trip of a lifetime.

Great Ocean Road, Australia

Australia is a long way to go, especially if you live in northern Europe, but once you arrive in this magnificent country, you will understand why thousands of international travellers flock here each year to take a journey along the Great Ocean Road.  Combining dramatic rock formations with rugged coastlines, petrified forests, and the prettiest white sandy coves, the Great Ocean Road is a holiday destination in its own right, and perfect for your trip of a lifetime.

Rapa Nui (Easter Island), Chile

Heading back over to South America, Easter Island is another remote and magical island that homes some of the most beautiful works of art on earth – the Moai. I can only imagine the tingling sensation one feels when seeing the monolithic statues of Rapa Nui for the first time. This is my personal Trip of a Lifetime… What’s yours?

  1. WITHOUT A DOUBT, I would ride my bike all over France and as much of Europe as I could. Hopefully, one day it will happen. 🙂
