There are many reasons to visit Melaka, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site after all, but if your idea of the perfect Southeast Asian adventure includes great boutique hotels, friendly locals, fun nightlife (I’m talking karaoke!), and the most delicious dining options in the Orient, this pearl of Malaysia should be right up there on your bucket list!

A small city with a big heart, Melaka welcomes international travellers with open arms, and while we only spent a couple of days soaking up the sights, sounds and aromas of this multicultural society, we already view Melaka (or Malacca) as an old friend…
