Are you looking for a great value city break this summer?  If so, you’ll be interested in the latest Annual Travel Index from TripAdvisor, which highlights the cheapest cities in the world for a 2016 summer city break, and also the most expensive.

Based on 2 people travelling between June and September this year, the travel index is based on a number of different factors such as the cost of a 3-night stay in a four-star hotel, lunch each day in a local restaurant, a visit to local attractions, and the cost off dinner each evening, including taxis to and from the restaurant.

The results were pretty conclusive, and if you are looking for a bargain city break with a loved one this year, you should be heading to Hanoi in Vietnam where you Pounds, Dollars and Euros will go a whole lot further, with a 3-night trip for 2 people costing around £373.29.

At the other end of the scale, it was revealed that New York City is the most expensive place in the world for your summer city break, costing a whopping of £1,372.28 for just 3 nights in the Big Apple!
