January is one of the busiest months of the year for holiday bookings, and if you are thinking about booking a bucket list adventure or your annual trip overseas this weekend, you might want to take a look at the latest travel demographic released by Post Office Travel Money, which highlights the cheapest long-haul holiday destination for 2017.

The Post Office Barometer is a worldwide survey is based on the current cost of tourist staples such as dinner for two, drinks, and sunscreen in holiday destinations around the world. While European hotspots are proving to be the best value destinations for British travellers in the coming year, there are some bargains to be had further afield, in fabulous cities such as Tokyo, Penang, Hoi An, and Auckland, where you’ll get a whole lot more for your money.

If you fancy a city break in Cape Town, a shopping trip in Dubai, a beach break in Mauritius, or a safari holiday in Kenya, you’ll be pleased to know that all these destinations feature on the Travel Money chart, so why not take advantage of the current flight sales, and book that long-haul holiday you most definitely deserve!
