An on and off-road cycle tour stretching from Mt Ruapehu to the coastal town of Whanganui, the Mountain to Sea Cycle Trail in New Zealand’s North Island is a spectacular 217km journey (including a boat or kayak ride), which you can enjoy in its entirety on a single day adventure, or split down in to several sections. Classed as an ‘intermediate’ cycle trail, there are some demanding climbs along the way, but after indulging in all that fabulous seafood and New Zealand wine, you’ll be more than ready for this cycling challenge!
