Happy Summer! Happy World Giraffe Day!

Well in case you missed it, today is officially the first day of summer here in the northern hemisphere, and if that wasn’t enough to brighten up your Thursday, it just happens to be World Giraffe Day too, and if you adore these long necked lovelies just as much as we do, now is the time to show your support!

Much like our rhinos, our elephants, and our lions, the world giraffe population is on its way to extinction, and with just 100,000 of these gorgeous creatures left in the wild, we need to act now if we are to protect the species for future generations.

By supporting World Giraffe Day, we can all help save giraffe in Africa by either donating towards conservation, raising awareness on our social media channels, or even adopting a giraffe of our very own (well, not quite, but you know what I mean)!

As one of my favourite animals in the wilderness, I certainly hope that these graceful giants remain part of our future and not just our history, and to celebrate their magnificence, here is my tribute to World Giraffe Day… oh yes, and welcome summer!
