About us

Established in 2011, Equatours is an innovative travel company specialising in tailor made holidays, small group escorted tours, and sporting adventures.

Our philosophy “be a traveller not a tourist” is evident in the escorted adventure tours and experiential packages we put together, and our aim is to give you an unforgettable holiday experience to those destinations you may not have considered before. South America, Africa and Oceania home some of the most beautiful countries on planet earth, and whether you are looking for a thrill seeking adventure or a relaxing trip into nature, we have the experience, the contacts, and the knowledge required to turn your dreams into a holiday of a lifetime.

Our small group escorted tours are specially designed for those who want to see the world with likeminded travellers. We keep our groups small so that we can cater for your every need, and take you off the most popular tourist trails to visit unique places on our ‘tried and tested’ routes. Our recommended hotels are run by locals who benefit from your visit, we use local drivers and guides, and we offer just the right balance between group time and you time, so you can get exactly what you want from your trip.

We appreciate that escorted group tours are not for everyone, and so we have dedicated the rest of our business to tailor made travel and leading sporting events. Cycle Tours, Marathons, Triathlons and Mountain Expeditions all feature in our portfolio, and no matter how complex your travel itinerary may seem we can pull all the pieces together into one unforgettable travel experience.

Why Choose Equatours?

There are several tour operators and travel agencies out there who offer similar escorted tours, tailor made journeys, and adventure trips as Equatours – so we have to ask ourselves “What makes us so different?”

Equatours is an innovative web-based travel company with strong values and a commitment to responsible travel. We are passionate about the places we visit, and have spent the past 15 years exploring the countries in our portfolio so that we have a good understanding of the local infrastructure, the culture and the travel possibilities within each region. This allows us to create amazing multi-destination holidays throughout South America, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Ocean.

Equatours small group tours are escorted by us, the company owners, to ensure they are every bit as good as we promise, and everything you hope your holiday will be. We carefully plan our tailor made holidays to make sure everything runs smoothly, and all Equatours guests have a 24/7 contact number to reach us while they are away.

We are passionate about what we do and it shows in the trips we offer. We could list many reasons why we think you should choose Equatours for your next holiday, and after your first trip with us, we hope you will have a list of reasons of your own.

Thank you for visiting our website, we look forward to travelling the world with you!
