We may not have reached November yet, but with this rather chilly cold front spreading across Europe, we can be in no doubt that, winter is most definitely on its way!

As someone who only enjoys ice when it comes in a long drink, I am not too fond of the winter months, but the good news is, one only needs to head on down below the equator to enjoy some glorious winter sun.

From South Africa and Argentina to the Maldives and Mauritius, there are some wonderful warm spots around the globe, you just need to know where to look, and with the manic festive season almost upon us, many travellers are already booking their Christmas holiday somewhere more exotic and less festive!

With daily flights from all major international airports – Cape Town is closer than you think, and a lot warmer than home!

Christmas in Perth, Australia

Forget turkey and stuffing this year, why not head on down to Oz and stick some shrimp on the Barbie instead! Perth, Western Australia, enjoys beautiful weather during our winter months, and there is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas that you couldn’t possibly get bored.

From fine beaches and great dining venues to an interesting array of wildlife, Australia is well worth the long journey, and once you have waltzed with Matilda you might never want to leave!

If the water is too cold for you in Cape Town, and you don’t fancy your chances with the jellyfish in Perth, why not head on down to Mauritius for the ultimate winter beach break.  Picture-postcard perfect, Mauritius has amazing beaches, a warm ocean, hot sunshine, and plenty of ice-cold cocktails!

Connections from Europe are a cinch during our winter months, and as the island bathes in year-round sunshine, you are almost guaranteed to get a tan!
