The World Travel Market 2012 opens its doors today, and we cannot wait to head over to the London ExCel tomorrow and find out the latest news, gossip and trends that the travel industry can expect to face in 2013.

Some of the biggest names in the travel business attend the event, and whether you are looking to add a flight search engine to your website, gain new contacts in foreign lands, or find out the latest news on social media marketing and promotions, the 4-day event has it covered.

A leading global event for those working in, or interested in the wonderful world of travel and tourism, the WTM provides us with a unique opportunity to meet, network and negotiate with businesses from around the world – who come to promote their countries in style.

Each exhibiting country has its own unique stand decorated in traditional style, and the competition to have the best stand is huge!  Brazil has carnival dancers and Caipirinha’s, Peru has panpipes music and Pisco sours, Qatar airways have an exact replica of their first class cabins, and Holland well… last year they had a Heineken Party!

However, the WTM is so much more than socialising, it is all about meeting those people you would normally only chat with on the phone or exchange emails with, and build long-term professional relationships that everyone – especially the traveller – will benefit from.

Wednesday 7^th November 2012, will mark the WTM World Responsible Tourism Day, and as proud supporters of the event, we are looking forward to the key debates and workshops that cover the responsible tourism issues facing the industry today, and what we can do to highlight good practice.
