One of my favourite destinations in the world, the picturesque town of Queenstown in New Zealand’s South Island is a perfect place to spend a winter holiday.
With warm sunshine, ‘refreshing’ lakes, endless bars and restaurants, and all the action and adventure sports you could possibly wish for, Queenstown caters for travellers of every age group, and gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling that makes you never want to leave.
Could I pack my bags and move to Queenstown tomorrow? Yes, definitely… and after looking at these gorgeous pics below, you might just understand why!
I visited Queenstown many years ago and would love to see it again someday. I think it’s a place everyone would enjoy.
It sure is, I hope to return one day… soon!
Last time I was in Queenstown, a couple of years ago, it was autumn and the colours of the trees were wonderful. Very different to your blue-sky photos – but no less appealing!
Thank you for stopping by ‘A glass half full’, I can imagine how beautiful Queenstown is in Autumn, and while I don’t particularly like winter, I’m sure it is amazing once it’s covered in snow too! 🙂
I’ll be there in December…can’t wait…thanks for sharing (www.alaskagirlatheart.com).
Lucky you Alaska Girl! Hope you have a wonderful time 😉
Am travelling around New Zealand on a cruise in December with hubby. Am looking forward to it as I lived in New Zealand for a year in 1991, but only got to see the North Island, so South Island, here I come. I hope to write about it too, so will keep you posted.
Wow, lucky you! I have to admit, I do find the South Island a lot prettier than the North… so can’t wait to hear what you think! Hope you have a wonderful cruise 🙂
