When you think of the Austrian Alps, what is the first thing that pops into your mind? Skiing Holidays… Mozart… the Sound of Music?
Well, Austria is home to all of these things, but it is also the perfect base for an active summer/autumn holiday, and if you love hiking in the great outdoors, eating traditional homemade cuisines, and listening to the very finest classical music concerts, the Austrian Alps should be right up there on your travel bucket list.
One of the most beautiful countries in the world, Austria really is picture postcard perfect, and while I may be a little biased (my husband is Austrian, after all!), the photos below highlight just how beautiful this tiny country is.
The Austrian Alps are simply Wunderbar during the summer and autumn months, so don’t wait until winter, come and say ‘Servus’ today!
Love to read about my current home, written by “foreigners” 🙂 You should check out my Blog, I write a lot about it as of last, since I am hindered to travel due to duty. And when you are there, go collect Eierschwammerl and Steinpilz at this time, your husband will know 😉

Thanks for the tips BeNicoMa! We have a house in Vorarlberg where we spend much of our time, and we had Steinpliz just yesterday! 😉
