Fridays Photoshoot: Cycling the West Coast National Park South Africa

There are few places left in the world where one can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, but the West Coast National Park, some 100km from the city of Cape Town in South Africa, is most definitely one of them.

27,500 hectares of pristine landscapes, turquoise waters, and an abundance of wildlife, the West Coast National Park is beautiful to visit at any time of the year, and as the only traffic allowed inside the park is strictly limited to guests visiting the famous Geelbek Restaurant or service vehicles, it is a paradise for cyclists who want to stretch their legs on traffic free roads.

While it is not as vibrant and colourful at the end of summer as it is during the spring months when the park is embroidered with multi-coloured fauna and flora, we were still blown away by the beauty of this national treasure, and if you are looking for an idyllic location to cycle in Cape Town during your next visit, we can highly recommend you make the trip over, and perhaps spend a night in Langebaan next to the beautiful lagoon…
