When you think of Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park are the first things that come to mind, but Tanzania homes some of the best beaches in Africa, and if you are looking for a truly tropical beach break in 2015, it’s time to pack your favourite flip-flops and head on down to Zanzibar.

Commonly referred to as the ‘Spice Island’, Zanzibar is the ultimate Indian Ocean retreat for beach lovers who are looking for something totally unique, and when you are not topping up your tan on the pure white sandy beaches or snorkelling Mnemba Atoll, you can spend your days shopping for artisan goods in the Old Town before heading to one of the local Spice Markets.

Like most people, we visited Zanzibar for a few days R&R after climbing Kilimanjaro, and we have wanted to return ever since!  Here’s what our Zanzibar looked like…
