A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls, on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, is a very special place indeed.
Referred to as Mosi-oa-Tunya or the Smoke that Thunders by local residents, these mighty waterfalls are believed to have been discovered by Scottish Explorer David Livingstone in 1855, who named his new-found treasure Victoria Falls in honour of Queen Victoria.
Easily accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls belongs on every African holiday itinerary, so why not combine it with a safari in Botswana, a sporting adventure in South Africa, or a luxury beach break in neighbouring Mozambique… the possibilities are endless!
